Fasching Friday

Friday 8th February is our annual Fasching parade and party. 

Children are allowed to dress up in costume on this day. There will be prizes for the best female, best male and best home made costume in each grade.

There will be dancing, face painting, sausage eating, pancake flipping and pasta stringing.

It is a half day so please be prepared to pick your children up at 1pm or prearrange for them to be in aftercare.


Lunch will be served as usual, it will be a sandwich lunch in the classroom. 

Parents, if you would like to help out on this day, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Winter Concert and Bazaar

The day started off with a bang with our winter concert. We had lots of different performances from all classes from Reception 1 through to Gymnasium.


We also had a chance to show off our musical talents with some solo and group performances.
 




Next we went and enjoyed some of the wonderful cakes and cookies from the MISPA parents
and some hot dogs.



We had many activities for the children to enjoy.

Parent Conferences

This week is parent conferences.  It is your chance to meet you child's classroom teacher and talk about your child's progress.
Contact you child's teacher to arrange a conference time.

Next week is our second picture day. Students must wear CORRECT uniform to school. Please make sure your child's hair is groomed before arriving at school on Wednesday. If you would like to send a brush with your son/daughter feel free to do so :) If you have any questions please email your classroom teacher.

Saint Martin's Day Celebration

November 9th November

Schedule of Events


  • Arrival at 5:00pm
  • Reception 1 and 2 will present a short play
  • All students will sing our St. Martin's Day songs
  • We will light our lanterns
  • Everybody will parade through the neighbourhood
  • We will return to the MIS campus for a bonfire and small party
  • The event ends at approximately 7pm

    We all look forward to seeing you there!

Weihnachten im Schuhkarton – Christmas in a shoe box



What is it about?

·        It’s about packing a shoe box full of presents for a child in need in Eastern Europe

What to bring:
·        One shoe box (approx.. 30cm x 20cm x 10 m)
·        Christmas wrapping paper
·        Gifts for a 10 to 14 year old boy or girl
·        6 per box as donation (so the box can be sent)



Ideas for gifts

·        Toys: a stuffed animal, a doll, toy cars, a ball, a yoyo, a puzzle, marbles, jumping rope, a small instrument like a harmonica or a flute, etc.
·        School material: a pencil case, a pen, pencils and coloured pencils with a sharpener and an eraser, colouring books, notebooks, a ruler, a solar powered calculator, handicraft work material, a protractor, chalk, a compass, etc.
·        Toiletries: toothbrush (in its original package) with toothpaste, a hair brush, cream, a towel, hair clips, etc.
Sweets (without gelling agents): milk chocolate, candy, lollipops, pure marzipan, etc. Please note that the expiry date must be after February 2013.


Please do not include:
·        Used objects or clothing
·        Foods such as nuts, sugar, pasta, coffee, juice, biscuits, Lebkuchen, chocolate with nuts or any other fillings, sweets containing gelling agents such as gummibears, etc.
·        Medicine
·        Scissors, knifes, tools or other dangerous objects
·        Battery operated toys
·        Playing cards
·        War toys
·        Objects dealing with magic

Halloween Party: October 19th, 2012



We had a wonderful spooky day as a whole Primary School!  All of the students participated in a Halloween Costume Parade and in different Halloween activities.  Please enjoy the spooky photos of the day's events!
