  •  Brain Quest Homework Pages: pgs. 27-28, 30, 32-33, 37, 184, 66, 102-103
***If your child would like to complete different pages that is alright too!  Keep up the great work with the homework!!

  • This month's art projects we will be using a empty Kleenex Box (the long kind please) and 1 roll of unused Toilet paper. (It should be a new roll with the paper still intact.) If you could please bring in these 2 items next week that would be great! If you do not have any empty Kleenex Boxes a full one will be just fine!  We will use the tissue in our classroom!  Also needed are a few empty egg cartoons! We will be using them as well this month!  Thanks for all your help!

Learning is Fun!!!

During the month of October we will be working on the following:

Reading: Story Sequence and Story Elements.  This means what happened in the beginning, middle, and end of the story and who are the characters, the setting, the problem in the story, and how the problem was solved.

Phonics: Ending and Medial Sounds and Segmenting Words (p-i-g is the word pig,)

Science: We are starting our Plant Unit this week and will be studying the parts of plants and how they grow throughout the month of October.

Math: We have been working on Place Value and Comparing Numbers through 100.  We will continue to work on these topics throughout the month of October.

Art:   We will be working on some fall art projects this month including some fun activities for Halloween!

Intensive Language:  We just finished up working on Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives.  We will now be focusing on speaking for the remainder of the month.  I plan on including some fun fall activities for the students that will get them speaking and presenting their projects in front of the class.
